The Religion of Being” style=”float: left; padding-right: 20px”>The Religion of BeingThe Religion of Being by Don Cupitt
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I tend to read numerous books at a time. Sometimes it takes a long time to complete a book. Some I read more quickly. This book was a rather fast read and I might read it once again. I have acquired some of his other books as well. Cupitt´s  writing is so engaging and his wisdom is immense.   I have never before read such a  master at mixing philosophy, religion and spirit. So they shouldn`t be separated.  He is  practical and insightful in his way and always seems to come back to the  heart. In fact he feels that philosophy and religion and all of life should be grounded in the heart.

I find some satisfaction in the act of attempting to express my experience of life through painting, writing, language and other art forms. I have been painting for over thirty five years and combine my love of art with a meditative and contemplative way of life. I have an intuitive sense that true creativity is something that arises from beyond and through Qthe self that can be explored and shared through some form of expression although I always hope to open to the influence of that which is beyond my limited sense of self.
